Facebook Ads provide a platform for you to place promotions or product offers in the news feed of a specific targeted audience.

Facebook Ads are ads you run from the Facebook advertising platform. They can show up (and you get to choose these placements if you don’t want them all):

  • On
  • In the Facebook app
  • In FB messenger
  • On Instagram
  • In other partner apps, e.g. The History Channel app and others

They can achieve many goals (knowing your goal for each ad is very important), including:

  • Video views
  • Post engagement
  • Website traffic
  • Conversions like getting leads or sales
  • FB page fans
  • New app users
  • App engagement

The targeting is very good, and you can reach many types of people with it based on things like:

  • Location
  • Demographics (age, gender, etc.)
  • Interests
  • Behaviors (like purchase behavior)
  • Connections (to FB pages)
  • Retargeting (people who’ve been to your website or interacted with a post or watched a video)

Google Ads

Google Ads is a platform given by Google (originally called Google AdWords) for setting up text ads, product listings, and support listings, cellular App installs and video advertisements.  Google Ads will display my advertisement only to people who look for certain keywords and phrases I have targeted, including, Cameras, DSLR Cameras, low-budget DSLR Cameras.

Youtube Ads

Tik Tok Ads

TikTok is a video sharing social networking services  owned by Byte Dance, a Beijing-based company founded in 2012 by Zhang Yiming. It is used to create short lip-sync, comedy, and talent videos. The app was launched in 2017 for iOS and Android for markets outside of China. ByteDance had previously launched Douyin (Chinese for the China market in September 2016. TikTok and Douyin are similar, but run on separate servers to comply with Chinese censorship restrictions. The application allows users to create short music and lip sync videos of 3 to 15 seconds and short looping videos of 3 to 60 seconds. It is popular in Asia, the United States, and other parts of the world. TikTok is not available in China, and its servers are based in countries where the app is available.
